MATTHEW PHINN
The artist, Matthew Phinn (son of the author,
Gervase Phinn) was born in Tickhill, Yorkshire in
1977. From an early age he showed a natural talent
and love of painting and passed his GCSE Art
examination -with a grade 'A' at the age of twelve.
Matthew studied Fine Art at Leeds University (where
he received the Alan Mohun award) and at The
University of California, Irvine. He is now doing an
